My thesis, entitled “Why Do Young Men Love Hurting Themselves? An Exploration of Masculinity, Pain, Humor, Privilege, and Jackass” investigates the intersections of self-induced pain, homosocial bonding, white privilege, and the ways in which the Jackass franchise cultivated alternative modes of masculinity for the 21st Century.
Pitch Packet: "The Sun King" (2020)
A semi-historical comedy about absolutist French ruler Louis XIV (at age seventeen). How can a kid who’s never buckled his own diamond-encrusted shoes be trusted to run a major European nation?
